System Analyst – IFS

Technical Competencies :

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse system requirements.

• System Configuration and Customization:
• Configure and customize IFS Applications modules to meet business requirements.
• Implement and maintain system configurations, ensuring optimal performance.
• Design and implement integrations between IFS Applications and other business systems.
• Collaborate with integration teams to ensure seamless data flow across the organization.
• Oversee data migration activities, ensuring accurate and secure transfer of data.
• Develop and implement data governance practices within IFS Applications.
• Investigate and resolve system issues, working closely with end-users and technical teams.
• Provide timely and effective solutions to system-related challenges.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, applying patches and updates as needed.
• Stay informed about the latest releases and features of IFS Applications.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users on IFS Applications functionality.
• Provide ongoing support to users, addressing queries and issues promptly.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, customizations, and integrations.
• Develop and update user manuals and technical documentation.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers.
• Collaborate with vendors and IFS support services to resolve complex issues.
• Broad knowledge of hardware, software and programming.
• Strong background with resolution of technical issues during planning and execution phases.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and successfully execute tasks in accordance with departmental / project objectives.
• Very good knowledge in technical terms and report writing skills.
• Good presentation skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technologies and products, independently using documentation and online resources.

Experience:

•  Proven experience as a System Analyst with a focus on IFS Applications. In-depth knowledge of IFS Applications modules and functionalities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in system configuration, customization, and integration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with business processes in areas such as finance, supply chain, and manufacturing, asset maintenance.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Interact with departments to analyse current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements such as forms of data input, summarizing data, and formats for reports.
• Write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
• Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
• Study existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or workflow as required.
• Prepare workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail operations to be performed by equipment and computer programs and operations to be performed by the user.
• Conduct studies pertaining to development of new information systems to meet current and projected needs.
• Plan and prepares technical reports/ instructional manuals as documentation of program development.
• Upgrade system and corrects errors to maintain system after implementation.
• Assist the programmers in resolution of work problems related to flow charts, project specifications, or programming.
• Prepare time and cost estimates for completing projects.
• Direct and coordinates work of others to develop, test, install, and modify programs.
• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.

Educational Qualification :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. IFS Certified Application Associate or Professional certification.
