Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior System Administrator with a strong background in implementing Cyber Security Controls. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure & should also possess a deep understanding of security technologies and tools. This role will be crucial in maintaining the security and resilience of our organization’s systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Administration:
    • Oversee the management and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and network devices.
    • Perform system installations, configurations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  1. Cyber Security Control Implementation:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity controls, including EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), PAM (Privileged Access Management), and DR (Disaster Recovery) solutions.
    • Implement and manage Center for Internet Security (CIS) controls and best practices.
  1. EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response):
    • Deploy, configure, and manage EDR solutions to monitor and respond to security incidents at the endpoint level.
    • Investigate and remediate security threats to minimize the impact on the organization.
  1. PAM (Privileged Access Management):
    • Administer PAM tools to control and monitor access to critical systems and privileged accounts.
    • Ensure the proper management of privileged credentials and sessions.
  1. Disaster Recovery (DR):
    • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
    • Test and refine DR processes to ensure business continuity in case of disruptions.
  1. Security Tool Management:
    • Administer various security tools and technologies, including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
    • Stay informed about emerging security technologies and recommend their adoption as needed.
  1. Incident Response:
    • Lead incident response efforts during security breaches, including containment, investigation, and recovery.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security incidents.
  1. Access Control:
    • Manage user access and permissions for systems and applications.
    • Ensure compliance with access control policies and conduct regular access reviews.
  1. Policy and Procedure Development:
    • Contribute to the development of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
    • Ensure that security policies are effectively communicated and enforced.
  1. Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
    • Create and maintain system and network documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in system administration, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity control implementation.
  • Proficiency in EDR, PAM, and DR technologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with Center for Internet Security (CIS) controls and best practices.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CISSP or CISA, are a plus.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
