Responsible for defining, delivering, and refining software products that meet user needs and business goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Product Strategy & Road mapping
  • Define the product vision and align it with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities.
  • Translate business objectives into product goals and initiatives.
  1. Requirements Gathering & Prioritization
  • Work with stakeholders (users, executives,  support) to gather product requirements.
  • Define user stories, use cases, and functional requirements.
  • Prioritize features
  1. Backlog Management
  • Own and refine the product backlog in collaboration with the development team.
  • Ensure clear documentation of features and acceptance criteria.
  1. Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with designers, engineers, QA, and marketing teams.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between business and technical teams.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives when needed.
  1. Product Development Oversight
  • Monitor and guide the software development process to ensure alignment with goals.
  • Support go-to-market strategies and product launch activities.
  1. Customer & User Focus
  • Conduct customer interviews, usability testing, and gather feedback.
  • Analyze product usage data to identify trends and inform decisions.
  • Ensure features solve real user problems and deliver value.
  1. Performance & Lifecycle Management
  • Track product KPIs (adoption, engagement, retention, etc.).
  • Make iterative improvements based on user behavior and feedback.
  • Manage versioning, updates, and end-of-life of features or modules.

 

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Product management tools: Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • UX/UI understanding and collaboration
  • Agile/Scrum or SAFe methodologies
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Technical background or understanding (especially for software products)
