Senior Digital/IT Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Digital / IT Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a seasoned project management professional responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of critical digital and IT projects from initiation through to successful completion. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while aligning with strategic business objectives and driving innovation.

The Senior Digital/IT Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership. This role requires a strong blend of project management expertise, technical understanding, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be instrumental in driving the successful execution of our digital transformation initiatives and contributing to positive business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Initiation: Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
• Project Execution and Management: Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of digital and IT projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid). Assign tasks, monitor progress, track milestones, and ensure effective team collaboration.
• Stakeholder Management and Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders at all levels. Provide regular project updates, status reports, and presentations. Effectively communicate project risks, issues, and dependencies, and proactively manage expectations.
• Team Leadership and Management: Lead, motivate, and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to team members.
• Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Develop and implement effective risk response plans. Identify, track, and resolve project issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Budget Management and Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets effectively, track project expenditures, and ensure projects are delivered within allocated budgets. Monitor financial performance and report on budget variances.
• Quality Assurance and Deliverable Management: Ensure project deliverables meet agreed-upon quality standards and business requirements. Implement quality control processes and oversee deliverable reviews and approvals.
• Project Closure and Reporting: Formalize project closure activities, including project documentation, lessons learned, and final project reports. Conduct post-project reviews and identify areas for process improvement.
• Process Improvement and Methodology Contribution: Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management methodologies, tools, and processes within the organization. Promote best practices and knowledge sharing across project teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in IT or Digital Project Management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and project lifecycle phases.
• Experience managing a variety of digital and IT projects, such as software development, infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, digital transformation initiatives, etc.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, Linear, etc.).
• Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Not Required but Highly Advantageous:

• Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience working within [Specific Industry, e.g., Government, Finance, Healthcare].
• Experience with Agile project management frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
• Familiarity with [Specific Technologies relevant to the company, e.g., Cloud platforms, specific software, etc.].
• Experience managing projects in a [e.g., multinational, matrix] organization.
