Job Description
- Own the SAP testing strategy and execution plan with emphasis on Payroll, Time Management, and HR/HCM modules.
- Coordinate test activities across multiple phases (SIT, UAT, Regression, Performances).
- Develop and review test scenarios, cases, and scripts for Payroll including:
- Off-cycle payroll
- Local Regulations (Tax, Pension, Social Security..etc)
- Retroactive payroll
- Statutory compliance
- GL postings & integrations
- Accruals (Gratuity, Leave Salary, Leave Passage, Bonus, Medical Insurance, Pension/social security..etc)
- Variance report
- Leave Salary Calculation
- Final settlements
- Manage testing risks, defects, and quality metrics; run daily defect triage with client stakeholders.
- Interface with client’s business and IT teams to align on testing scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Guide client teams and junior consultants on SAP payroll testing best practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years in SAP testing with 3+ years focused on SAP Payroll (country-specific knowledge preferred: [e.g., Middle East, Asia & Africa).
- Prior consulting experience in managing SAP test cycles and deliverables in client-facing roles.
- Hands-on with tools like SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM, or Jira.
- Experience in managing payroll testing across multiple interfaces (e.g., time systems, finance, banks, tax authorities).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Must/Nice to Have:
- SAP Certification (Cloud Payroll) – Must Have
- ISTQB or similar testing qualification – Nice To Have
- Exposure to S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, or third-party payroll providers – Must Have
- Test automation familiarity (Tosca, Work soft, etc.) – Nice To Have
