Job Description…
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Developer to join our client, DDA – DDGE, on a 12-month extendable contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, container platforms, and cloud infrastructure while ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Manage, monitor, and optimize OpenShift clusters to ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and adherence to DevOps best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Support application deployment, monitoring, and operational activities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Continuously improve DevOps processes to enhance deployment efficiency and platform reliability.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, DevOps Developer, or similar role.
• Strong expertise with GitHub, including GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.
• Hands-on experience managing OpenShift or similar container orchestration platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Good understanding of networking, security, and system administration concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud-native deployments.
• Experience with configuration management tools and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and security automation.
• Professional certifications in DevOps, Cloud, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or related technologies.
