About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Lead Integration Specialist with strong hands-on expertise in WSO2 integration technologies. The ideal candidate will lead the design, architecture, governance, and delivery of enterprise-grade integration solutions using WSO2 middleware technologies, while ensuring scalability, security, performance, and alignment with architectural standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level technical leadership across WSO2 middleware and integration applications.
- Lead end-to-end solution design for digital initiatives, vendor solutions, and enhancements to existing platforms.
- Own solution architecture from business requirement analysis through solution design, vendor selection, implementation, and delivery.
- Ensure solutions follow enterprise architecture standards, governance principles, and best practices.
- Design, manage, and govern the complete API lifecycle using WSO2 API Manager (APIM).
- Develop complex mediation logic and data transformations using WSO2 Enterprise Integrator / Micro Integrator (EI/MI).
- Create and manage APIs and Data Services Server (DSS) implementations.
- Implement API and integration security using OAuth2, JWT, SAML, OpenID Connect, XACML, and WS-Security.
- Develop and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, XSLT, and XPath.
- Create architecture documentation, technical specifications, reusable components, and integration best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers throughout design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Lead performance testing, UAT, production deployments, and production support activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve integration services, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Support both Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with WSO2 API Manager, Enterprise Integrator / Micro Integrator, and Data Services Server.
- Solid experience with SOAP and RESTful web services and API lifecycle management.
- Strong knowledge of SOAP, WSDL, WS-Policy, WS- standards, and SOAP UI*.
- Strong understanding of API and integration security, including OAuth2, JWT, SAML, OpenID Connect, XACML, and WS-Security.
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) patterns.
- Basic working knowledge of Java and JavaScript.
- Experience or exposure to Kubernetes, OpenShift, high-availability WSO2 environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Basic understanding of RDBMS, SQL scripting, and stored procedures.
- Familiarity with Git, Eclipse, OOAD, and Java-based development is an advantage.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams.
