About the Role

We are looking for a skilled bilingual UI/UX Copywriter to create clear, accessible, and user-centered content for government digital services across web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate has strong Arabic and English writing skills, solid UX writing and content strategy experience, and the ability to collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and government stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Write and structure end-to-end interface copy for government digital services across web and mobile in Arabic and English.
  • Translate research, service blueprints, and stakeholder requirements into content models, user flows, and production-ready UI copy.
  • Build and maintain reusable content patterns within the Dubai Design System, including labels, error states, empty states, confirmations, and notifications.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers directly in Figma, ensuring copy works effectively within layouts, character limits, components, and different interface states.
  • Work closely with UI/UX designers and front-end engineers throughout hand-off, implementation, and QA.
  • Create accessible content aligned with WCAG 2.2 AA, including plain-language content, alt text, error messaging, and screen reader announcements.
  • Present and explain content decisions to stakeholders across government entities, including legal, policy, and service owners.

What We Are Looking For

UX Writing & Content Strategy

  • Strong bilingual writing skills in Arabic and English, including RTL content and Arabic UI conventions.
  • Excellent knowledge of UX writing, microcopy, content models, voice and tone systems, error messages, states, and edge cases.
  • Experience creating and maintaining shared content libraries and reusable content patterns.
  • Ability to produce clear, structured content documentation that designers and writers can easily use.

Figma & Design Fluency

  • Solid working knowledge of Figma, including Auto Layout, component properties, variants, and content constraints.
  • Good understanding of component-based design, including states, composition, and character limits.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with designers and engineers and understand the design and technical impact of content decisions.

Writing & Communication

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating clear, structured, and user-centered UX writing.
  • Ability to explain and justify content and UX writing decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and word-level accuracy.
  • Strong written and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, changing requirements, and stakeholder feedback effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working within the public sector or large-scale enterprise digital products.
  • Experience creating accessible content for assistive technologies.
  • Familiarity with content management tools, terminology databases, design systems, or version-controlled hand-off workflows.
