Job Description:
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline (Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Sociology, Demography/Demography) or any other field related to the field of work.
Work experience (12-15) years.
- Providing technical expertise and advice on all projects, processes, data and social indicators, in line with the Authority’s directions and strategies and approved international best practices.
- Propose and prepare policies, technical methodologies and procedures related to the preparation, analysis and calculation of social data and indicators, and work to document and update them continuously.
- Actively participate in setting operational and operational objectives and action plans for projects and social activities in the Emirate of Dubai in accordance with the Authority’s strategy.
- Ensure the accuracy and validity of data and socio-statistical outputs by coordinating efforts with the concerned authorities and applying accurate and automated audit methods.
- Technical supervision of all stages of the preparation of social data and indicators in accordance with the approved international and periodic standards, while ensuring the correctness of the extracted results and estimates.
- Supervise the preparation, updating and dissemination of social data through electronic and smart platforms on time.
- Preparing studies, researches, and specialized reports in the social field, extracting the necessary indicators and analyses and submitting them to the competent authorities for approval.
- Develop the general technical framework for the implementation of social statistical projects and processes, in order to ensure the acquisition of accurate data covering various social areas.
- Coordinating with social data providers to unify concepts, definitions, and methodologies, and providing the necessary technical support to the task forces.
- Monitor the flow of data from its sources periodically to ensure continuity of updating and prepare long-term social estimates and forecasts.
- Developing and improving technical statistical processes for the preparation of social data in accordance with the best international standards and methods.
- Updating and developing an integrated system for the production of social reports and data to ensure that they are provided with the highest levels of quality and efficiency.
- Providing recommendations and ideas for the development of social statistical work in terms of methodologies of collection, analysis, auditing, coding, presentation and dissemination, to meet the needs of the concerned authorities.
- Proposing and developing performance indicators and criteria to measure and improve the achievement of the goals of social statistical work based on the results.
- Participate in internal and external meetings, committees, and task forces, and follow up on technical recommendations and decisions issued by them.
- Providing technical support and training to those working in social studies and surveys, and building their capacities in collecting and analyzing statistical data.
- Providing technical opinion and preparing appropriate responses to reports, correspondence, and memoranda related to internal or external relations.
- Participate in the preparation of the draft of the estimated annual budgets for social studies projects, and discuss them with the line manager for approval.
- Prepare periodic and annual reports that document the completed social data and indicators, analyze the challenges and provide appropriate solutions to them.
